This works like a champ for stairs but it is not that easy to put together. It requires the pieces be precisely cut to fit and one of mine was not and had to be returned. I can only say that IF you are used to putting items like these together you will not find the diagram difficult to understand, but that is all you get. a diagram. I wrote for a website video to see how they put it together, and what they showed me was a completely different piece of equipment. I love it but for a while there, it was touch and go.The assembly was fairly straightforward and when done felt very heavy duty. I have no complaints about the unit and for this kind of money it is virtually a commercial unit.
