This book was a family favorite when our kids - now 26 and 28 - were little. We all enjoyed the humorous spin on Froggy's familiar and easy relatable tasks and antics, the predictable repetition was a time for the kids to chime in with "Flop, flop, flop", the illustrations are cute and colorful, what's not to like? The Publisher's Weekly review (1994) calls it "an inferior sequel....". I have to disagree. One of many marks of a good book is how memorable it is, its staying power. Let's see...... over two decades later, "Wherever you left it, Froggy!" is a common expression in our house, and our 26 year old daughter wants the book (all the froggy books!) for her 3 and 4 year olds. I think that clearly qualifies it as a darn good book!
